Ashwani Khad Waterfall

Chadwick Falls

Chadwick Falls is situated at an elevation of about 100 m above sea level. Located in the beautiful Glen Forest in the city of Shimla, this waterfall in Solan is surrounded by gorgeous pine and deodar trees. The easiest way to get to Chadwick Falls from Shimla is via road. This waterfall was earlier known as ‘Chidku Jhaar’ where Chidku translates to a bird in the local language and Jhaar translates to waterfall. It was believed that only birds could reach the top of the waterfall. Britishers found it hard to pronounce and named the waterfall Chadwick Falls!
